- HD Cameras: These are just advanced versions of Analog cameras designed to give better quality images
- IP cameras: These are digital and are network based. These work with NVR (Network Video Recorder) which is a network device to record. Video can be directly streamed. This are technologically advanced and feature rich
- PTZ: These are the wide area surveillance cameras. These are capable of pan, tilt and zoom for better surveillance.
Yes there are certain cameras that do not require DVR box. You just need to connect them to you PC via router.
